Shady Valley, TN meet
When: Saturday May 14th, 8:30AM
Where: Shady Valley Country Store, Shady Valley TN (Johnson county for mapquest)
For ITR owners and friends. We'll meet up at the store and get some breakfast. Then head out into the valley or through the valley and out to the Blue Ridge Parkway, then back to the store (120'ish miles roundtrip).
This is a cruise meet, so don't bring out your showcar to show off, I've told the store we'll have about 20-30 people and they agreed to let us park there and have the cook ready to cook for us. Post if you will make it 100% for sure.

hmm.. man, Blue Ridge Parkway sounds like good times.. I've driven on a small section of it; love those Appalachian roads.
I can't commit right now but I'm thinkin about it

[rant]I really don't see what the big deal about Deal's Gap is. Whoop-a-dee-do, 11 miles of twisties. I really just don't enjoy roads that offer no level of of true versatility. A road a much prefer is NC Highway 9 running from Bat Cave to Black Mountain. It offers great versatility in that it has it's twisties, it has high speed corners, long straights, etc. But what really floats my boat about Hwy 9 is that it's fast as all hell whereas Deal's Gap feels rather sluggish in comparison.[/rant]

Re: (Kendall)
A good highway that has some variety is HWY 178 on the NC/SC border, right off of Highway 11. The "Dragon" is too much work in a car, its too slow and not for the weak...
Everyone should take to the time to check it out.

Re: (Bay_707)
I would like to, but im too busy.
Everyone who goes will enjoy. Been on those roads some, they are fun, but be careful.
We have been proven, here in the ITR forum especially, that just because you race on a track doesnt make you the best at getting out of a situation...

If you guys go to #9 any time soon watch your self. I regularly ride this rode on my CBR 929 and the cops are having a major crack down on this stretch of road. They are mostly watching for speeding bikes etc but they will still bust an aaR if they get a chance. Just a heads up. From what I hear this will be going on for the rest of the summer at least

apparently Aquadasanipolandspring's chocolate milk he likes to drink came from a cow that got into an onion patch "yesssssssssssssssssss" and it killed every single brain cell he had except for the one that for the next 9 days made him think it was still April 1st or APRIL FOOLS DAY RATHER!
