Default semi-overheating? rad. cap?

could a bad/old radiator cap cause semi-overheating problems? ive tried everything else already, check for leaks, bleed the system again, made sure the fan worked, ive done it all. its starts to semi-overheat at crusing highway speeds.

what does the radiator cap do? what do i look for when buying a new one?

just go to autozone and pick one out? is there anyway by just looking at my current radiator cap to see if its bad?

Have you checked or replaced the thermostat?

The radiator cap mainly serves to increase the boiling point of the coolant by regulating the amount of pressure in the system.

yes as in replaced? or checked? or both

i just replaced mine with some autozone 180 degree.. but i'd have to drive around to find out if it works.. if that doesn't then i'll replace radiator cap..
