SCAM ALERT!!!! bigcat1 from Texas
I bought and paid bigcat1 for some DC2 Mugen Front and Rear strut bars from him for $300 shipped. I specifically told him over the phone and through PM that I want a tracking number provided. Sent out payment on 06/20/10. 06/25/10 bigcat1 PM me back and said he got the check in the mail. Will deposit and ship out by 06/30/10. 07/03 bigcat1 PM me.. Sorry, I was out the town. Just got home this morning, I'll send it out first thing in the morning. During the next two weeks... he said I can't find box big enough. Had to order it from USPS. 07/14/10 he PM me.. My wife sent it out this morning. It will take 4-5 days. On 07/21/10.. He said, My wife she didn't get the delivery confirmation #. It should be there. If still not there by tomorrow let me know I'll send your money back for sure. I don't trust USPS. 07/30/10 he stated in his PM that he sent my refund check back on 07/26/10. Now it's 08/04/10 and the mugen bars have not arrived and no refund either. I asked him to provide me with the receipt from USPS even though he didn't purchase the delivery confirmation. He would still be able to contact USPS through customer service so that they could provide information about his shipment still. He won't reply even through he has logged on several times since my last three PM's. DO NOT BUY from this SCAMMER!!!! I filed fraud with my bank already.

get a pay-pal account!!! Much safer than sending a check in the mail. pay-pal usually side's with buyer when you make a claim.

paypal is better than bank
but you still get dicked over. they only side with you if its through an ebay transaction.
the best way is to paypal BUT pay by your credit card. that way if there is any dispute, you can call your credit card company and they will refund you the money and they will take care of it form there.

Re: SCAM ALERT!!!! bigcat1 from Texas
Actually I was going to use paypal. He said something about his paypal wasn't working due to him just moving to Texas. Spoke with him a few times on the phone. Though he was legit. So, I decided to mail him a check. I made sure to list what the check was exactly for with my bank. Also, put tracking information must be provide on the memo area of the check. My bank is going issue me a refund regardless for that matter. He deposited this check through his personal bank account. He's gonna get it. F**ken scammer.

Re: SCAM ALERT!!!! bigcat1 from Texas
If it was shipped USPS Parcel Post it doesn't surprise me. I cannot imagine a box that size would have been shipped via Priority Mail (very $$$). I don't believe you can purchase tracking or shipping confirmations when the item is shipped via Parcel Post. That's probably why he doesn't have it.
I had one package lost on an item I shipped after an Ebay auction and I ended up being out $250 even after I produced the proper shipping documentation. I had to wait 30 days before I could even have them do anything about it, once the paperwork was filed I knew it was a lost cause. Parcel Post takes the longest and it is not tracked very well by the postal service. That box could still show up at your door any day.

Re: SCAM ALERT!!!! bigcat1 from Texas
I doubt the package will magically appear at my door steps. It's going to be a month in a few days since the package was supposely shipped out. Does it seriously take 2 weeks for a refund check to be mailed back to me? It took 3 days for mine to arrive to him. Doesn't sound like a scam to you? His address and info is listed in the first post. You guys in Texas can pay a visit for me. I called numerous times and PM him with no success. He hasn't responded or logged on since.
