I have always used Royal Purple. I like it a lot. It does seem to burn a bit more than when I used the mobil 1 synthetic.

I would agree... The track car eats it up but it spends it time in the high rpm band most of the time.
As for the power streering it does work much better in the fact that it does not mist as much.

been using royal purple for 6 months. its been great and i notice that the cam ticking sound went away first time i used it and its been gone. also improvement is my rpm moves little faster with royal purple than mobil 1 and for $6.09 each at napa. why use something else.

I've been using Royal Purple in my car for 4 years now, and yes sometimes it disappears. Probably as much as Mobil 1 through my exp. 1st time I put it in I felt it run smoother and my car gets wicked gas mileage. Either way, I'm happy with it and don't plan on changing.
