Review: Tommy Gunns Earthing Kit installed
I installed this set of wires this afternoon in the freezing cold weather.
Instructions was simple to understand but I grounded the wires differently
I connected a ground to the alternator, one to the back of the cylinder head, one wire to the tranny and one wire to the Skunk 2 manifold near the air temp sensor.
The original directions called for one connection to the VTEC solenoid and one connection to the Intake manifold where the flange meets the head but I chose two different spots. I read an artice of scc and they connected one of the ground wires to the tranny.
I havent had the chance to drive the car yet so dont ask me how it feels.
overall the wires and terminal ends look very high quality, and I was very skeptical towards getting a set but decided to take a gamble anyway.

If I remember correctly, adding a ground wire other than the one already attached to the tranny caused huge problems. Leave the tranny ground as is, and put the ground wires where tommy gunns told you to put them. SCC doesn't know, they really don't.

I'll check if I can find the thread for more evidence other than just my word. But, i remember reading/posting back in october/november when tommy gunns was making these kits that the tranny ground was left out for a reason.

Yeah, I am 99% doubtfull of real power from the kit but I am expecting semi better headlights and a smoother running engine.

Throttle response was noticebly better in my car. They have a list of things it is suppose to improve and it did improve everything; only thing left is to check hp and torque increases, which i don't expect anything but will check on the dyno.

Re: Review: Tommy Gunns Earthing Kit installed ([HrZn]4life)
it may not "add" hp but say your car is older and the grounds are bad it will at least bring you back to stock.
also like others said make your engine run smoother.
how much does tommy gunns sell his kit for?

just got back from changing the ground point. One of my ground points was on the tranny, I decided to follow the instruction and put it on the VTEC solenoid.
I also rubbed down my motor with a damp rag to clean off the tar, dirt, etc....
can wait for warmer weather so I can clean my motor with a toothbrush......

i had the sun earth systems ground wire on my tranny. i've had these ground wires on my car for awhile and so far no problem. so is it bad to have a ground wire on the tranny? if so why? im pretty sure the sun earth systems instructions said to connect one to the tranny.

I'm glad you liked it.
Back in November when I made the first batch, I removed mine to copy the length of wires. For a couple weeks I was driving the car with the stock ground setup. I noticed that my car required 2-3 cranks before it started on several occassions. Put my earthing system back on, car starts on 1st crank consistently

Re: Review: Tommy Gunns Earthing Kit installed (io_burn)
I dunno about power. But Iafter seeing Tommy G put these wires on his car and getting positive results,I put it on my car too.Noticed better throttle response...but dyno wise.
Then took them off for a month, noticed a lack of throttle response, so I put wires back on.
Just my $02.Thanks Tommy for introducing me to concept of GW's.
