Recaro SPG owners/users...can you use stock seatbelts??
I know quite a few ITR owners use this seat, so here's the thread!!
I was talking to a friend of mine a while ago & if I remember correctly, he told me that he used his SPGs with his stock seat belts (in his ITR)
I'm interested in picking one up but do not want to get into 4pt harnesses & rollbars/cages
Have any of you used your stock seat belts with the Recaro SPG???
If so, how was it?
Did you have to make any custom "seat belt modifications"???

I actually just got my seat today. The stock belts work without modifications. The side bolster is lower than I thought so the lap belt is still flush with my body. I thought that I would have to thread the belt, but it was a good fit. You should have no problems unless you are really skinny and the belt does not rest on your lap like stock.

I'm hurt you didn't ask me 1st.....
Most buckets are ok with stock seatbelts..just avoid the ones with high side bolsters...the belt just sits atop the entire seat.....won't really work till you get into an accident and get launched out from the seat of your pants!

HAHAHA, you ARE the friend I was talking about in the first place
unless you don't consider us friends.....
How about threading the seatbelt through the loops?
Should help/solve the problem, no?
EDIT: woops, just saw spoonitr's post, so threading works goot??
& JUST having a bucket seat with stock seat belts shouldn't be of any concern in the event of a rollover, correct?
Should still allow you to lean & everything

yeah, i have the spg and if i just rest the belt over the side bolsters it wont touch my lap, i thread it through the holes.
