Default question on jdm radiator support

i know that there were some topics on how to install the jdm front end conversion. What I needed to know was, is it possible to replace the whole usdm radiator support with the full jdm radiator support? Will it fit perfectly as if it was the usdm radiator support?

I am not sure what u are asking...

the old USDM radiator support will NEED to be entriely removed and replaced with teh entire JDM radiator support. And after u have it on, yes it will be jus as OEM as it can be in my opinion. there aren't any real fitment issues or anything like that if your asking.

thanks for the info, but I was asking this because there was a post about just cutting off the top half of the usdm radiator support, and welding on the top half of the jdm radiator support. I didn't know whether the bottom halves were different or the same.

search for user name "mase" he did a whole write on how-to install it.

And he did cut the top half of each support and welded them together, so it will work.

as long as the support is not bent due to being used, you should be ok. I got mine used and it was a little tweaked. Just make sure that when the shop removes the old support that they do a good job of prefitting the new one. Make sure everything is flush. The idea of just using the T section does sound easier though.

the JDM support and USDM shares the exact same mounting points...

just cut the top and center portion and replace it with the JDM support....believe me, I taught Mase how to do it...

it's fast, easy and gurantee to lined up perfectly....
