Default Problem help!!

Hi..I am running rich..what can i do to stop it from running rich?what would happen if my car run rich?plmk..thanks

i doubt anything bad would happen other than a loss of power. If you have a VAFC why not control it?

I guess you could lean out the fuel with the VAFC that goch said you have, but the only real way I think is going on a dyno to get maximum fuel/power efficiency.

Do a search, i think the topic of running rich/too much fuel has come up a few too many times.

you can try diabloautosports.com i think they have one on sale for about 299 or 300 bucks..When you run too rich i think there's a significant power loss. BTW,,how are you running too rich?

instead of a vafc how about a field vtec controler will that work?and how do you lean it out at wat settings..You guys thinking i am losing alot of power?plmk..thanks

fields vtec controller is exactly that, a vtec controller, it does not have the ability to modify fuel like the v-air fuel controller, (if i remember correctly.)

hmm are you seeing a little black smoke around Vtec range? If so, a little black smoke is normal in that area..

a little black smoke isnt bad..our R's come slightly rich from the factory..if your car is stock and its doing that, i wouldnt worry about it.

thanks goch ..almost scare there that i am losing power cause i have a big event that is coming up and cant afford to lose power due to runing rich..thanks

btw what u think about the field sfc vtec controller or the afc what the diff?

have your car dyno and hook up with the wide band O2 then u'll get the acurate numbers.

i havent seen much comparison between those two. I think both of them can get the job done. Maybe one of them have more functions or capabilities. Your engine IS stock right?

yeah just intake/headers/test pipe/2.5" custom piping w/ free flow magna flow exhaust with 2.5" outlet and inlet
