Prelude SH or RSX-S
I'm in search of a new car to replace my R after it was stolen. I was looking into getting a used M3 but couldn't find one with the mileage and price range I wanted. Now I'm deciding between a '00 Prelude SH and '02 RSX-S. Just wanted you guys opinion on what I should get?

Re: Prelude SH or RSX-S (NoR4U)
If you're totally into performance, its obvious that you should be looking for a used Type R. If you're looking for a new car, then obviously you're only choice is the Type S, since both the Prelude and ITR are discontinued. If you definately narrowed your search to these two cars, then you should check out this head to head comparison test done by edmunds. (note: i dont know how the 150hp GTi wound up in 2nd place, but the stats are worth looking at). Based on everything I know about these 2 cars, the Type S is definately faster, while the Prelude SH is the better handler, and I believe this test confirms that since the S is faster straitline, but falls short on the track.

Re: Prelude SH or RSX-S (Skunk2nR)
It is really a hard decision.
If both cars are new, I think I will take Prelude.
But since you can't find any new Prelude anymore, I will go with RSX-S.

Re: Prelude SH or RSX-S (Ideal R)
I wouldn't get a 2002 RSX-S. Their transmissions have a lot of 2nd gear grind problems and a bunch of other stuff you can find on clubrsx if you read up. Go 2003 if you really want one, they should have cleared the problems up with it.
I vote Prelude, but I don't know if you want the SH. ATTS is nice but unless you're tracking on a regular basis it's a useless feature. It adds weight, and cause power loss through the drivetrain (up to 10whp!). The base is faster and can pull the same times as a stock RSX-S despite the weight disadvantage. I think in the review article the Prelude would have placed higher if it wasn't so old in design.
The Prelude has a better stock suspension, and there's more aftermarket for it (at this point). Personally I would say get a 95 VTEC, but that's personal preference because of better gearing, larger injectors, a little less weight, and OBDI. But I guess you're looking for newer cars. Either way, any prelude over the 02 RSX-S.

Re: Prelude SH or RSX-S (NoR4U)
Try to find another R. IMO neither the RSX nor the SH can compare to the driving experience of the ITR. Before I bought the ITR, I was debating on the RSX, and the SH as well. I drove both vehicles, then drove the ITR, and neither one can compare.
