Once I throw 3rd ...
once i throw 3rd gear the car feels as if it stops pulling as hard as the other gears. But if I amcruising in 5th and downshift to 4th it pulls really hard . What can be causing this , timing or something ?

I gotta agree, purley mathmaticly 3rd pulls harder than 4th unless you make stupid power and spin all of 3rd
