Everyone will recommend the Autozone rotors (Duralast or anything else they sell) if you want something cheap and durable. Not blingy, but they work! Stay away from anything crossdrilled, many people (including me) have learned the hard way.
Cobalt Friction Spec VR's are a really good bet for a track-only pad. I use them for the street too, and if you don't care about how they sound, they're a good choice for that too. They have a higher temperature rating than most every other pad out there. Spec VR is the only pad I currently trust on my Turbo R.
Carbotech XP8's are a good choice too, and possibly more streetable. I used XP9 front, XP8 rear and somehow either glazed the fronts or something, because they didn't really stick anymore.
Carbotech and Cobalt Friction have some more-streetable compounds that you might want to check out if you don't think you're going to fry your pads.
Other high-performance street pads are OK. With OEM pads, it's sort of a mixed bag of results (mine were great for autocross, but quickly became mounds of ash at my first HPDE, and were dangerously low-friction at that point.)
Your best bet is to buy Carbotech and Cobalt stuff straight from the manufacturer. Call and mention honda-tech for various discounts (5%, $20 off, whatever they have)

Re: OFFICIAL EXPO 5 North West Region Caravan (Haleiwa-Brando)
Just wanted to bring this to the first page for the Washginton/Oregon/Idaho folks, since no one has posted on it in some time and just incase there are others from Washington/Oregon/Idaho who are planning on coming out.
I edited the first page with Starbucks Coffee locations around Omaha Nebraska. I like having my girly drink in the mornings
to those who have signed up. If you have a friend who's thinking about coming out, nag him until he submits
Aloha,
Brandon

Well I have to leave on Wednesday now so that I can get there on Thursday night. As an instructor I have a track day on Friday which I would like to attend.
Would the rest of you like to go early or shall I roll out on my own?

Make that 3. I'm an instructor also, so obviously I'm in.
Marshall? Others?

Re: (Haleiwa-Brando)
I'll have to ask Chris (98DC2R) and see what his plans are, I know his schedule for work is almost as tight as mine is. I'll let you guys know after the 27th when he gets back from his trip.
