Default obd2 question

Guys,

need some help on this on, I got a V-AFC and i'm trying to wire this up to my 2000 UK ITR, problem is although the plugs/sockets look like a ODB2 type (second plug hole is blank from left to right), the wires are the wrong color to what the manual says and some wires are in the wrong places.

Some of the wires I got have a silver stripe through them so now I dunno whether to follow the colors of the wires or the positions of the pins but neither seem correct if you see what I mean.

can some wiseman help me on this.

Thanks

Which diagram are you referencing in the manual?

I go by the position of the wires in the plugs and the color of the wires on vafc harness... the colors of the chassis harness don't matter.

helpful info here:

OK I'm looking at both the download form Apexi, the new and old.

in the old manual it says it's the WH3 diagram for a 99+ITR but looking at my ecu it looks more like the WH2 diagram with the second plug missing/filled.

On the update sheet mine looks like the H6-A diagram.

I would like to ignore the color of the of the wires and match them up myself but counting the pins it's wrong, I got wires where there shouldn't be and where there should be I got some missing.

Go to your Honda dealer and see if you can get a photocopy of the wiring diagram for your ECU. Use that instead.

Yeah I've thought about that but can't help thinking I'm gonna get asked a whole bunch of questions about screwing my warranty or somethink, I think I'll go down and ask them sometime. maybe they'll say something like "sorry Sir but you've got a real wierd *** Teg" or something.

It's too bad it's a UKDM car or I'd email you a copy of mine.
