Default need to know

I jsut bought a new dc jdm 4-1 header off of this guy that had an SI. I also bought the 2 1/2" testpipe. Is there anything else I need like a gasket or something. Also will the test pipe bolt right on to the factory exhaust?

Thanks

I would think you would want to get a new exhaust manifold gasket to go between the header and the head. Also, if there is a donut gasket between the header and the test pipe I would get one of those too, just to be safe.

As for it bolting up to your stock exhaust, You would have to jack the car up and peep that shiz. I you think that it would if that kid had it on his SI, but I do not know for sure.

Good luck

Well you really dont need any gaskets, i think your stock ones should be fine. If you have time to get the gaskets get them.

Good luck

actually that is wrong. the JDM header you bought will not accept a USDM 2.25' donut gasket between the header flange and the test pipe. you will need this gasket, which is available as an OEM piece. Goto Honda and ask for the S2000 collector gasket. it fits perfectly between the collector and test pipe flange. Also, the stock gasket will not fit the test pipe to Bpipe flange now sisnce it went to 2.5". you can IM Dave (SMSP) and he can get you one that will fit correctly.

This is true, however, he got it from a guy that used the header with the testpipe from what I gathered.. in this case the 2.5" donut gasket will be included already.

I just called the dealership and they asked if I need the front or rear donut gasket. Which one do I need? Or both?
