Need help with CEL CODE and CAR!
Hi.
I have a testpipe without secondary o2 sensor plugged in. It's just hanging for now. Yesterday I tried twisting it in the o2bung and the wires got real twisted and tight. Started car and CEL came on also my MPH tech is not working and now my car idles at 1100rpm. Went back home and unplugged the second o2 sensor. I have reset the ecu but car still idles at 1100rpm and mph tach doesnt work. This morning I backed up my car from the garage and the MPH tach went crazy from like 0-20mph and down back to 0. I have tried checking my cel and it only blinks one long followed by a quick short and then it keeps repeating itself. Does anyone have an idea what the hell is wrong with my car???

anyone? after checking the cel again it's looks like 2 same length beeps bout 2 secs long and then off for about 5 seconds and then repeats. does this mean code 2??
depending on the speed of the flashes, code 2(most likely) oxygen sensor B, or 20 electrical load detector(not likely) you probably just messed up the wires.
I had the same problem in my ITR. SPeedo would go up to 110 mph while standing still. This pissed me off because the odometer was clocking miles while I wasn't going anywhere. RPMs where all screwed up too!
Turned out that the secondary o2 sensor wires where shorting to the chasis. Acura installed my comptech exhaust incorrectly and caused the o2 sensor to rub the chasis. This sounds like your problem. Wire feeds shorting somewhere.

Yes i drive a 2000R. Yeah I was thinking it was just CEL 2 meaning bad o2 sensor or shorted circuits because those wires did twist REALLY HARD when I was attempting to twist in the second 02 sensor. Oh Well!! I should be getting KENJI'S harness + ecu today and shouldnt need that seconday sensor anymore. hopefully after I plug in the obd1 the cel will go off!!!. BIG FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!!
I just don't understand why that would play with my idle(1100rpm) and malfunctioning MPH guage???? Oh yeah btw my o2bung on the testpipe is not plugged up right now.
