need ecu code help quick
TDC sensor is inside the distributor and is most often seen when a distributor's bearings are failing. Take the dist cap off and if you see any rust in there, it's time for a distributor...
Hey Mike...you might want to take a look at the link that I borrowed from C-Speed racing.

hey I didn't post this, but I know who did! Thanks for using my name!
lol
Anyway here's a response that someone just IM'd me:
Well, the TDC sensor is located in the distributor, along with the CYL & CKP sensors. To replace this sensor is to replace the whole damn distributor housing (which does not include the coil, igniter and such...only the 'cage'). To check operation, you either need a meter or scope. With a meter, you can check the coils resistance and the peak-peak AC voltage being produced (should be about 7V at 2000 rpms). With a scope....same procedure, but this would allow you to SEE the waveform and if there was something wrong with it...like perhaps the distributor bushins were going south...this would be seen on the scope.
Let me know if you get that fixed! I'm really curious to see what was going on.
Oh and yes I have a Helms and the R addition. Heck how do you think I do most of my work!
This person though who posted didn't have a helms that was in his reach at the time!
Here's a picture I took of the selected pages:

Hey whats up Mike
I used your username because it was still logged on at the shop. Anyways I checked everything(Checked the cam timing, base timing-which by the way was at 20 deg., spark plugs, ecu wiring, distributor, fuel injectors, fuel press., dist. wiring, fuel controller) and couldnt find anything wrong and reseted the ecu at least 4-5 times before the codes didnt come back. I am still baffled as why I got them.
Oh, It was code 8 and code 73, not code 82 as I originally posted using your username. Now hopefully whatever that caused the codes will not pop up again.

Hey Tim...I hope that you figure it out, I've got a code I can't figre out too
