Naaaaaws!!!
The reason you don't see NOS at the road tracks and at an autocross is becuase it isn't allowed.
), and on the TCRA registration form there is a yes/no box for NOS...doesn't say anywhere that you can't use it. Not that I would want to...
I'm thinking just a 50-shot... for "just in case" situations...
Nos is more of a novelty item. I would hope you don't use it daily, rather just incase you are losing. I've seen nitrous setups last over 100k on a honda motor, so far at least 5 years with proper care. I have no doubt with proper installation and monitoring it will last you a long time. What do you have for safety?
What he said. But if thats what you want then by all means squeeze

Actually, I've fallen victim to the devil as well. The kit has been sitting in my room for about 3 weeks now...finally getting the kit and a new clutch put in this weekend.
Should be fun...in moderation, of course.

I was at Pocono last year on the long course. The long course uses part of the Nascar Oval. One ITR was using NOS on the super long straight-aways and was blowing past Trans-Ams and Corvettes. So, on this type of course NOS was very useful. Basically it was the best of both worlds. Fast in the curves (no NOS, just great handling in the ITR) and fast on the straights (using NOS).
I heard NOS sales tripled or something after Fast and the Furious came out. LOL.
That stuff is like viagra for cars. They should run a special "Yo yo yo, buy a bottle for yo car, get some free viagra for yo self".

Have either of you even used nitrous?
If you have, well, then I cant really say anything, but.... I'll be laughing when he whoops yer asses.

RTR's motor died because the spark plug conductor broke off, due to not being replaced. Replace those plugs with nitrous often, and run direct port with a reasonable shot and proper mods and you'll be fine IMO.
I met a guy at the drag strip last night.. 1/8 mile.. running 8.90s in a stock sentra SE-R.. intake, header, street tires and a 100 shot DP. Been running that way for a year and a half. Needless to say, my SE-R is going to run at LEAST a 150 shot, maybe run 200. (Granted, I'm *TRYING* to blow up the motor). He also misshifted, 7000rpm in 4th gear to 3rd gear, fucked up a rocker, replaced it, ran 8.90s the next night.
Summary: Run NOS if you want, F what the others say.
-Dave, who loves closed deck motors. (which is my way of saying Nissan
F HONDA!

dude , you will be fine . alot of these people are autox /road race ***** , if you have an r and dont do it the exact same way as them and do the same racing , your not excepted in thier eyes. . .
i have NOS . i love it, if you do it right then you will have a long motor life.
i think real type r bent his valves from not checking his plugs all the time . one of his elctrodes broke off and fucked up his valves.
if you check them and replace them every so often after squeezzing alot, you will be more than fine
alot of the people work their opinions off of myths and are just plain scared of it becuase of those myths.
