I think you missed the point.

The point is the same thing I've been saying all along - you need to decide what is best for your needs, based on all the information you can. Despite RJ's preaching and constant derision of anyone who doesn't agree with his opinion, I don't think that everyone must use one particular oil.
To me, the most important piece of information is that Honda's engineers recommend 5W30 in the manual for the ITR for North American markets. I have yet to hear any evidence that they do so for any reason other than reliability and performance, which seem to be the primary objectives in the design of the ITR. For that reason, I will continue to rely on their advice, as the experts on this car, and I continue to use 5W30 in my ITR.
If YOU think that your needs/usage, or your understanding of oil, or your guesses about Honda's advice, imply that some other viscosity is better FOR YOU, by all means use whatever viscosity and brand you think is best. It's your car, and your decision. Heck, you can use baby oil in your engine, for all I care.
That's the same thing I've been saying all along.

I agree with you, that's why I want to use 5w40 oil, that is recomended by Honda in EU. I only want to get the best 5w40 available for my use (hard street + track).

Honda recommends that viscosity solely for regular street driving. Not for track
Knowing how hot the oil temperature gets in the B18C6, it's clear that the ITR isn't really set up for track/autobahn driving in that regard. Or else Honda would have installed a way better oil cooler. So I really don't think the OEM oil is good for other than regular street driving either.
I've also used the Castrol SLX 0w40 and Castrol TXT 5W30, the recommended oils in Scandinavia by Honda, at the track and the oil burns up very fast. Fine for regular street driving, but not track.

The B18C6 easily reaches 150-160C oil temperature within 10-15 minutes at the track. Thats WAY too high. If you watch Best Motoring - Type R Legend the oil temperature reach 130C after only 4,5 minutes at the track on a stock B18C. The oil should never reach more than about 130C, or else it'll break down easily.
