Missing the Integra World
Hey guys. Well I am kind of split on what I want to do right now. I currently own a 2005 Subaru WRX STi. Previously, I owned a 1994 Acura Integra LS. Now, currently my STi is for sell, and I was planning on buying a 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution IX, but I miss my Integra lol. I was thinking about buying a PY or CW ITR, and basically building that up, internals, turbo, suspension, etc. I would like opinions and suggestions on this matter, I know this forum is biased of course to R's, but it would be nice hearing from others, thanks all.
as fantastic as the R is, it won't be able to compete with the Evo on any performance level, especially if the Evo is modded. the evo's are roomier, cheaper to insure, a lot less likely to be stolen, and NEW.
damn....maybe i should get an evo...hahhahahaha, NEVER!

I have a question; why are you selling the STI?
And personally if you are mentioning adding FI to an R it might be better off, more cost effective and less headaches if you just started out with a Turbo car from the onset.

Selling the STi because it isn't as mod friendly as the evo is. And the Evo IX has made enough changes to it for me to consider getting one. It takes alot more money to get an STi on par with an Evo that has considerably less amount of money spent on mods.

and you think the ITR is mod friendly especially with turbo? you would be better off getting the EVO.

Makes sense.
The beauty of the R was that is was such a potent package without any mods or minimal at best.
It really sounds like the EVO is your best bet. But we wouldn't frown upon another new R owner. But if going Turbo in the R is where you are headed, take your time and search a bunch of older posts and the FAQ above, IM Chris F and/or Zygspeed and go over the Turbo aspect.
Beyond that except that an R you might get with higher mileage will most likely need a suspension refurbishment, it really doesn't need anything done to it to make it a great, fun and practical car. The biggest drawback is still the theft issue which hasn't yet subsided.
