ajbones had a Spoon 4-2-1 header? Does anyone remember what numbers and intake ITRles had on his R? I think he pulled 168 or so... Les, you around?

Ross - you hit 17x hp/125 tq on a bone stock motor with just an intake and advanced timing? Wow, that's pretty damn impressive. If you don't mine me asking how much timing did you advance on each of your 3 runs? Any details would be greatly appreciated as I'll be taking mine for a base run in Sept. BTW, which dyno did you guys run on? Thanks.
Cos,

my car thanks you for the compliments. I joked to another H-T member that my car knows I'm a crappy driver so it compensates by producing more power. Sonic (one of the DFH guys) did the timing for me. It's now at 18 degrees. I'm not sure how much it actually helped, because I didn't do a before-and-after. there were so many cars that there was no time for tuning in between runs. But I'm, sure it didn't hurt.

Jeff,

I remember les saying he had just a K&N air filter, nothing else. I know his hp was somewhere in the mid/hi 160's.

When I got there (around 9:30) there were 3 ITRs including mine (itrles, sinitron), one EBP Si (gamby), 2 GSRs with I/H/E (AJBones and dc24me)and some other goodies, one GSR with Toda Bs (bert), one mean hybrid hatch with B18C5 (davew?), 2 E46s (??), and a previous-generation SVT Lightning (?). Also a few beater hatches. It was a lot of fun.

And Berkel's GSR grocery getter in need of a 4-1, Sonic's 1G CRX w/zc, Breaka1_9's ZC powered EF, Veritus (Paul?) with the stock 96 GSR which pulled 147 and black 99-00 Si with an intake. Did we miss anyone?

Did Jerry (01r) even make it? I haven't seen him on this board for a while.

Hi,

Jerry did not make it...

My beat looking sedan made 177.6 HP and only 120 TQ, which was quite strange since I used to make 173 HP and 124 TQ with just CTR intake cam, bolt-ons, and Field. My A/F ratio indicated that I was running ~16 A/F ratio! I had leaned it right before running on the V-AFC as well

I richened up 5-10% across the board after the dyno pull and car felt much better. With an a/f ratio closer to 13 or so, I should have picked up a few ponies, so right around 180 at the wheels. Sadly for the Hondas, I had the highest output of the day, beating Dave's hybrid by .1 HP. Obviously, my header (Neuspeed 4-2-1) is really holding me back, along with cat (currently beat random tech) and exhaust. Like Lip, I'm fairly certain a high quality header will yield 10+ hp and get me to a decent output... Also need to play with cam gears some.

The stock and mildly modded cars def had a better day.

At least I know what my a/f ratio is doing, and I can work on exhaust from the header back. One positive about my TQ was that it was very flat.

Ross, I think I was the only one that didn't ask about your car. Usually my car looks like that.

That dyno day did kick ***. I think we were all suprised by the numbers we got. I know I was. dc24me(Jeff), I would like to see your car on the dyno again with a better intake. You would have a little more HP. It gives me something to look foward to. BTW, your car is sweet!

Hey guys...

Yeah I dynoed at 167.5/119.1, 168/117.5, and 168.5/117.1 not bad I guess for just a K&N 2710 in there. Best part is how flat my torque curve is, although I wouldn't mind a bit higher torque number. Really thinking of getting a custom cat and a JDM 4-1, maybe raise my compression to...but that's not exactly a bolt-on.

I love dc24me's wheels...wish I could get a deal like that for them.

Had a lot of fun meetin' you all...we'll have to do it again some time. When is the Boston/NE meet anyways??

Paul, I know people think the Iceman is a piece of crap, but it works for now. Maybe I'll do an AEM eventually... I don't have the cold air extention piece because I'm paranoid about all the rain and flooding. I shorted out my siren 3 times so far this year driving through puddles. Glad you liked my car. So what's up for your car next? Aside from washing it for the first time since May??

I'd like to hit the dyno again sometime after adding a couple of things....anyone up for it?

ajbones, berkel, guy with the black si, bert, ross, I have pictures of your car on the dyno. Let me know what to do.

Here's a crappy picture of my dyno ... I dont have a scanner, and the depth-of-field on my camera is .... Sad.

http://www.baked.net/~sinitron/images/Sinitron_Dyno.jpg

setup:
Stock timing (not advanced by sonic)
89 octane
AEM (with filter that hasn't been cleaned since last year)
jdm 4-1
A.teo custom 2.5" cat
apexi N1 catback

First 2 runs are in 3rd gear ... Last run is in 4th.
