LPG
I've just read a magazine article and aparrantly from 2005 onwards the UK government are banning the use of petrol engines in cities! I am totally serious about this. What is most alarming though is that they have gotten this through government without anyone noticing!
Aparantly they will cover 75% of the LPG conversion cost if you get it done before 2005. You then switch to LPG in the city and change to petrol on the motorway. I don't know about you but i sure as hell aren't converting my integra to LPG.
They can kiss my ***!
Oh, and aparrantly lpg incurrs "no loss in performance". lmao - our government are a bunch of liars.

I was to believe it stood for Low Emission Petrol? I saw it was already being used but I don't know how good or bad it is on performance. I know the Hi Ron petrol is starting to become scarce that and prices seem to tend to rising not lowering too much. I was thinking about moving there but wasn't sure when I heard about the high price of petrol and some there new Std as I was thinkin hhmm it might not much better then living in the USA. The main reason I wanted to move there is because of the country side and cars and culture and I have few relatives over there.
LPG stands for Liquid petroleum gas. To be honest as long as you've got a house out in the country this new law wouldn't affect you much but it's going to be damn inconvenient.
The UK is cool, but i'm biased obvsiously. Apart from high gas prices (which are due to fall or so i hear) and expensive cars it's not too bad really. It's a very different way of life though and the cops drive insanely tuned Volvo 850 T5's. lmao.

Ah.. with reference to petrol.... 98 ron super unleaded petrol costs over 80pence a litre. 95 Ron Premium Unleaded costs about 74 pence i think. This is an estimate as i really don't tend to look when i full up my tank. It's so expensive anyway it just scares me!
My car prefers super unleaded but will run on premium just fine. As for LPG, i severely doubt honda will make a conversion.

My friend told me to fill up his R it would cost around 50 USD's I was thinkin thats alot of money. But isn't the UK switching over to the Euro next yr? I was told this around 00' which would put the UK pound in closer to exchange rate of the USD..or atleast within 5-8cents difference. Because the the exchange rate right now is like 1.00 Sterling Pound to 1.44 USD.
Yes, from what I see it's best not to drive fast unless your out in the country because it's a waste of time to run from the police in the UK. But atleast there is ton's of race tracks to track on. Which I love to do some day soon.
But I may come to the UK this yr to the Birmingham NEC auto show around Nov. or to see the WRC British final round to see if Burns can bring it home
If I got a job there I would probably have to live not far from London. But I love to live out in the country side or Scotland.
