Default Leather Shift *****

My stock shift **** gets WAY too hot during the summer when I park the car outside. I always have to use some tissues or small towel to cover it so that I can shift. I'm thinking about getting one just summer use.

About how much would a brand new leather ITR shift **** cost? What about the GSR shift ****?

How do I remove the stock one since it doesn't just screw off?

Thanks.

The GS-R shift **** lists around $35 or so new at the dealer. Or, you can buy a used one on eBay, usually for around $30-35.

I got a new GS-R **** for my ITR - for the same reason as you - plus, here, the metal one is too cold in the winter. And I like the shape of the GS-R one, too.

Easy. Unscrew the old one. Screw on the new one. You're done.

Screw on the new one.
I meant, hold the new one on the stalk and turn it. I wasn't talking about any sexual activities.

Is this true? Really? It's really titanium, not just titanium-finish?

How much lighter is it?
I dont really know if it´s just titanium finished but it feels like light metal. I dont know how lighter it is to the stock USDM one cause I have never been in a USDM ITR. All I can say that it´s lighter then the leather **** in the Si, although I think the weight of the shift **** doesnt really matter that much....

I use Oakley's softee suglass cover for the shiftknob. It stays cool unless sun's directly over it.

Just put a condom over top of it - that way you shouldn't feel a thing! heh heh

Euro ***** are solid titanium (same as S2000) not just a dodgy finish, they are not cheap but dont fry your hand either!

I have the Acura "Carbon Fiber" shift **** and it's remarkably thermostable.

Of course, mine came with a leather one to begin with...

there is no way the USDM one is real titanium. I took it off in favor of the Mugen ****(also it creates a short shift situation) and I can tell you the USDM one weighs a ton!!!

Looks really shiny... is it cause of the flash? Man.. those euro-spec ITRs are just so much better than ours.

JDM and USDM ***** are the same
I'm Not sure if they are full titanium or not, But regarding the weight I have ARC Titanium (not Titanium finish) Shift ***** that are about the same size but Round and weigh roughly the same weight. I will post some pics of them, They have the purplish-gold look like the Titanium exhausts do.
