You have to rotate the filter downwards and it will clear the hood. I had no clue where to put the bracket so I never used it.

So that was you that came into the shop. I would recommend using some sort of foam tape to protect the intake from the strut bar.

Take the bracket and get two sets of channel locks to bend it so it looks like this: "[" instead of an "L" shape. I then took the two ends of the now "C" shaped bracket and bent them slightly in oposite directions. I bolted the bracket into one of the stock air box holes (one closest to you and to the right when looking at the engine bay), and pushed the filter down just enough to slip the other end of the bracket between the filter and the hose clamp that holds the filter on the intake pipe. The bracket pulls the intake down far enough that there is about a 1/8-1/16" gap between the strut bar and intake. May not make any sense, but if you are interested, I'll take some pics when I get the R back (hopefully tomorrow ).

No fitiment problems with mine. Just one of the spark plug wire ends connected to the distributor rubs a little on the carbon fibre piece. No brackets needed, just hooked up to TB and that's it.

I didn't use the bracket. I just bent my A/C lines apart a bit and it fit great. No rubbing what so ever. Best pic I have at the moment.
