I have a 97 jdm itr motor. On the cylinder head just above the header it's stamped "PR3-1". I've noticed other ITR heads with the stamp: "PR3-2", "PR3-3", and even "PR3-4". Does anybody know what's the difference between all of these if any?

my usdm is pr3-4, not that anyone really cares hehe

 

i own an 01 and my casting is pr3-4. i think that the number after the dash is the generation of the pr3 head. if you look at a b16a1, it says pr3-1. so i would asume, not 100% positive, that it is the generation of the head.

I have two heads, one A1 and one A2...

- The A1 says PR3-1 and has (9|1) stamped on it.
- The A2 says PR3-3 and has (9|2) stamped on it.
