jdm headlight hid bulb replacement...
im assuming that the headlight must be removed to access the bulb? along with removing the ballast.. any info would be greatly appreciated.. thnx in adnvance
Yes, you have to remove the entire headlight to change out the bulb because there are screws on the bottom holding the ballast cover.

Is this OEM HID Honda bulb interchangeable with higher Kelvin bulbs??
I dont like the OEM HID its too yellow around 4300K i think oem honda is.
any suggestions which bulb to use on the oem hid from honda ?
I like the 6000K.

they are 4300k but mine are nowhere near yellow

well compared to a 6000K it is too white and if housing is bit old it has a light effect of yellowness.
Its ok, but i wanted to know if it can be changed from 4300k to 5000k or something near, I guess i need NEw HID headlamps, which is expensive oem honda.

You would have to remove the entire ballast from the headlight and remove the bulb, the bulb is a Phillips D2S bulb. I suggest you go buy the Phillips D2S replacement bulb on eBay as it's only about 60 bucks per bulb. Where as at Honda/Acura dealerships they run for about $80 and that's at employee price and it's the same Phillips bulb but in a small Honda box. I saw list price for one was $120
