Default Js Racing B18C Engine?

Does anyone know about the Js Racing B18C engine? I know they offer a crate B18C long block. All engines has been balanced & blueprinted. All engines are equipped with J's Racing valve cover, oil pump, oil pan and oil filler cap. Does anyone know the power output??? Compression? Just curious.. Thanks

I don't think it come with the Js oil cap. They also used oversize JDM ITR piston and stock head gasket, so compression should be around 11.1:1. It also have some minor headwork done too. Power output will be very similar to the stock B18C Type R, but it should run smoother because it is balanced and blueprinted.

Give me your valve cover, $50 and some turquoise paint and i'll make you a C's Racing Valve cover...works just as good.

I have one and the quality of the paint is not too good. After 1 yr, there are bubble on the paint and some of the paint started to chip off. May be they forgot to use high temperautre paint.

Sounds like the Spoon valve cover (Which often come defective as in it's chipped or the paint is bubbling). My friend had to pick the best 1 out of 5 when he decided to buy one.
Aside from that I like the color of the J's racing valve cover. It reminds me of the ocean.

You would think that high-end JDM stuff is high quality. Anyone with experiences with Mugen valve covers?

Also, any significant difference between the balancing and blueprinting between Spoon B18C and J's Racing B18C crate motors aside from the oil pump, pan, etc.

Beside balanced and blueprinted, the Spoon engine came with their headgasket, oil pump, and stock oil pan.

J's Racing engine came with the following (Email I got from J's Racing)
--- Cylinder head ---
Upper surface correction
Valve polishing
Port correction
--- Cylinder Block ---
Upper surface correction
Boring & Horning*(use O/S Piston)
Metal measurement adjusting
Valve clearance & Valve timing adjusting
Valve seat cut
Valve rub adjusting
J'S RACING Oil pan (baffle processing)
J'S RACING Head cover
J'S RACING FILLER CAP
--- NEW PARTS ---
THERMOSTAT
OIL PUMP
WATER PUMP
TIMING BELT
CRANK PULLEY
TENSIONER

I think the Spoon engine is a brand new engine, but the J's Racing is a rebuild engine (that why they used O/S pistons).

I have the Spoon engine before and the J's Racing engine now, they are very similar in power. J's Racing one may be a bit stronger. However, both engine tend to start burning oil after around 8 - 10k km. My J's Racing engine is burning around 1L of oil every 2500km!!

Well, I kinda disappointed at the burning oil problem too, but I guess I am not the only one that is burning oil with a Type R engine. But the J's Racing engine did run very smooth and dyno showed peak power at 8150RPM with stock cams.
