Default ITR head best flow?

So im doing an ls v-tec and i am able to get ahold of a itr head. i will be fully building the head before it goes onto my motor. i was told though that the itr head is already best flowing head and that if a p&p was done to it then it would make the flow worse... this true or would a p&p along with 5 angle valve job make it better flowing then it already is?

If that's true... I wasted about a grand for P&P and chamber re-shaping.

The ITR head is the best flowing stock B series head since it comes with minor port work on the lower bowls. But with any good head porter, you can make it flow more and increase the velocity. Equating to making more power.
