ITR: Factory Radio Code
I just put the factory stereo deck back into my car, and when I turn it on it displays "Code"- I cannot seem to find my owners manual to see if the code is in there. If I cannot find the code in the book is there another way that I can obtain the code? It's a pain in the *** that I can't find my manual-
Thanks!

That would be the fastest, unless the code sticker is mounted somewhere just out of sight. Mine is visible when you open the glove box.

Re: ITR: Factory Radio Code (Doespike)
can you go to ANY ACURA dealer to get them to pull the code? I had to go to the Place of sale Acura dealer... Lucky for me the previous owner left all the paperwork in the car.

Found my manual this morning and it isn't in it. I checked the bottom of the ashtray, in behind the glovebox, behind the center console and I can't find it anywhere. I will try the Acura dealership today and see how I make out.
Damn.

Re: (Echo7847)
I swung by the dealership today and the guy at the service desk got it for me- Then I wrote it down in my owner's manual- then I put the manual somewhere where I'd actually remember where it is... the glovebox. haha.
Thanks for your hep guys!

Re: (jetydosa)
Awfully coincidental that this would pop up when I've been dealing with a similar problem. I have searched, but haven't found anything. I have the code, but I left the car without it being entered, so when someone borrowed the car they pushed all the buttons and now I get an err-3 code on the screen.
Does anyone know how to get rid of that code so I can enter the code? I've found someone say to hold down 1 and 6 whle turning it on, but that didn't work. Another person said to disconnect the battery then touch the cables to each other. Sounds odd, but I haven't tried that yet...

You can reset the ECU and it will go away. Pull the neg off battery and pull out the radio fuse.

Re: (B18C5)
so did they check for your ID and your registration??
my ITR needed a code, i called the acura dealership and they gave it to me over the phone.
i called honda for a code for a new civic and they were strict, i needed registration and everything. which was a very good thing.
but that doesnt bother me, i work at a shop and i call in and tell them who i am and i can get the code no prob.
it bothered me that acura didnt ask for any ID

They didn't check my registration or ID or anything when I went in there. The guy at the service desk saw me drive in, then proceeded to talk about the car and how much he likes it.
A friend of mine had a problem once with a VW dealer who refused to give her the code unless she paid them to re-install the factory deck and program it for her. She eventually got it- but had to rage on a manager.
