My vote is for something causing the caster to go WAY out of spec. I don't think if one of those slipped it would create enough neg. camber to be an issue.

Quick update:

I went to the alignment shop Saturday, they didn't have enough time to do a full alignment and suggested I get some new tires beforehand anyway. But he did do an inspection and said that everything (other than) the alignment looked great. Nothing worn.
