I'm BACK.....
Vacation was a blast, definately needed it. It was great to see some family that I haven't seen in 10 years and visit a friend of mine in School out there.
Went to Florence, Bologna, Saint Agata, Modena, Maranello, Rome, Amalfi, Gaeta, and the Vatican All in 10 days
Women were beautiful, wine and food were delicious and the sights were amazing. I highly reccomend visiting Italy if your thinking of traveling.
Driving over there is Crazy and i loved it
75% of the cars on the highways (Autostradas) travel at about 130Km/h (about 80mph) and the other 25% is going at about 170+Km/h (105+MPH) People fly up on you if your in the fast lane and not going fast enough and you Better Move out of there way or they will either hit you or drive an inch from your bumper. All this on small 2-3 lane highways most of it twisting through and around mountains
. The street driving isnt much different people will pass you on any road anywhere if your slowing them down. Best part is On the highways the police could care less about the speeding, only on the local streets do they care.
Just wanted to share my good time with you all, so here are some pics (About 400 of them)
Florence
Gaeta - My Home town in Italy
Amalfi
Cassetta
Montegna Spacatta - Gaeta
Saint Francis Assisi Basilica - Rome/Vatican
Rome
Various Cars in Italy
Some Chicks
And for all you Ferrari and Lamborghini lovers
Ferrari
Lamborghini
PS
Ferrari wouldn't let me into their factory
Hell they wouldn't even let me take a picture of the cars in the Lobby or even walk into the Lobby. I was allowed 2 pictures from outside and then had to leave
Of course I then went to the Ferrari store accross the street and Spent way to much, Then after being pissed at the security gaurd decided to drive and walk around the factory getting any Snoop shots I could
Also took a few of their Test track that they test out the F1 cars on.
Lamborghini was a bit nicer they wouldnt let me have a tour unless I had an appointment, but the women in the lobby gave me a business card with the number for Public Relations and said they would give me an appointment easily. Sadly we were leaving for southern Italy the next day
Again I asked to take a few pics of the cars in the lobby and again I was denied. Not even 1 picture of the car 3 feet from me
The "Lobby" was more of a showroom - 2 floors with just about every Lamborghini in existance, needless to say I was drooling.
The Security gaurds at Both places Loved me when I started taking all random pics outside hehe
I was also going to visit Ducati in Bologna, But after being denied at Lambo and Ferrari and the fact that it was getting late We decided to call it a day.
PPS We wil be open today at Noon

Hotels are about avg price there. If you go and Don't speak any Italian I would say to Visit Florence and surrounding areas (Pisa, Venice etc.) In Florence itself Most if not all Locals Speak english, The crappy part was that it felt to americanized at some places. I didnt have a problem in the language section because I used to speak it fluently, and picked up on most of it this time around. Get a book with key phrases and you should be set in any of the main cities.
Good thing you are back. This just out from CNN.com
"The U.S. Embassy in Rome said there were "credible reports" of threats against Americans in Venice, Florence, Milan and Verona on Easter Sunday. "
