Yea, theres a flange on the back of the headunit that sits on the frame of the dashboard. 2 bolts normally hold it in place.

did you have it installed? there should be a bracket. if your aftermarket was some huge abnormal size they might have removed it.

they should have given you the old bracket.

there's a L shaped bracket that screws on to the stock radio that should sit on the brace back in the dash. put the bracket from the radio on TOP of the brace then put some screws into it. i'd take pictures if i

1. had a camera

2. was'nt at work

good luck

Yeah, sounds like you're missing a piece. Make your own bracket.

Yeah, I adapted my bracket to go on an aftermarket head unit and then the head unit got stolen

So now I need a way to make a bracket like the factory bracket. By the way, they don't sell the bracket seperately and I don't think you can get it from anywhere (checked all over the place).

Pretty stupid design if you ask me.

Ahh, here is an old thread discussing the infamous bracket:

I'll see if I can find the link to the Microsoft picture resize mod for XP

EDIT: this is from MS; you can trust me

http://download.microsoft.com/...p.exe

Download and install this powertool and it will allow you to resize pictures simply by right-clicking on them and selecting what size you want them.

yeah there is an aluminum bracket that bolts to the bottom of your factory ITR cd player and has screw holes in the other side for that thin piece of sheet metal, which is part of your dash assembly to slide into, then you tighten the bolts down and it will hold it on there.....

Look at the the thin piece of sheetmetal where the bottom of the radio would rest, it has two slots cut into so that you can start the screws in the L- shaped bracket then slide the radio in and tighten the screws down, the heads are 8mm.
