Thanks, I'm far from the first to do this though. There are others that have done this upgrade on their Integras, I just found finding information on it hard to find so figured I'd help those out that were interested.

Re: How To: Install Spoon Monoblock Caliper DC2 (godnf8)
I'm actually running a set of Monoblocks on my car with Stoptech RSX type S rotors.
The RSX type S rotor is different than the ones offered by Spoon, the hub for the dc2 is different than the rsx hub. In order for this to work the inside of the rotor needs to be machined to fit the dc2 hub.
The easiest way to avoid this is to buy the Spoon rotors.

Ah, were the hub mounts different? I had the rsx type s rotors and put them side by side to the spoon and they looked the exact same.

yes the RSX rotor has a very small edge that has to be machined in order for the DC2 hub to sit flush.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but is it safe to assume that stock S2000 calipers could be spaced the same way and used with RSX-S rotors for an easy 11.8" upgrade on ITR's?

wouldnt an NSX upgrade be more efficient?

I forget who it was, but they messaged me and said the rsx s rotors won't work, that they have to be shaved on the inside to where the rotor mounts to hub. When I had the Type S rotors I only measured the rotor thickness and width, I didn't check the inside diamaters for the hub, so I would say you need the spoon rotors I quoted the part number for just to be safe.

Sorry to bump this, but I can confirm that swapping the caliper's hardline with its two bleeders is doable and 100% safe and now you can bleed the caliper while its attached.

they wouldnt clear multiple 42+ wheels I own and tested, I used a 5mm spacer and they cleared fine.
CE28's will work with a 42+ NO SPACER we just tested that at the shop. te37's have a pretty large spoke, I doubt they would work without a spacer.

Re: (Status Sean)
tnx for the info. if the ce28's clear then i THINK the te's should also clear, because the spokes curve outwards, even though they're big

Re: (Seedc2)
From looking at some pictures it seems spoon just swapped the calipers left to right.
I understand the calipers have a staggered piston, but seems spoon is having no
problems.

That's spoon for ya, they balla's. They probably swapped the ends like the other guy was saying so that they are on correclty for the directional calipers.

Yup, the monoblocks were made for s2k/rsx type cars so the rotor is slighly different. It's larger in diameter and thicker.
