How fast does your R go 0-60? ( list mods )
I was flipping through the March 2000 issue of Car and Driver. And there is a segment for street cars. The King Motorsports Mugen ITR perfromed reasonably well. It was actually using street tires, as some of th eother competitors were using DOT-legal racing rubber. The car had all mugen parts, bolt ons' ecu, LSD. etc
here are the times
0-60 mph in 5.8 sec
0-100 mph in 15.6 sec
street start 5-60 mph in 6.5 sec ( does that mean rolling start? )
1/4 miles in 14.5 sec @ 97 mph
Top Speed 146 mph
I was wondering what our honda-tech member cars run 0-60 , 5.8 seems pretty impressive. List your major mods that helped ot achieve those times!

That kingmotorsports ITR is owned by a member on this board.
My odyssey hasn't been timed for 0-60 but I'm sure it's around the 11 sec range.

I wonder if it had the JDM final drive when they did the testing. Looking at the top speed I would guess it did. Scott from King told me that he got a top speed of 157mph when it had the USDM final.
I would love to do a 0-60 test in my hatchback

thanks to the contributors.. ! a reason i ask if because 0-60 is always one of the test that people speak of to determine how quick a car is. And since honda's are not know for thier torque, I'm delighted that we can get a R some nice times. Sgt, can u share some of your mods! What times do stock ITR's seem to run? mid 6's?

my R runs 9-second 0-60 times. I have a JRSC
FYI, with a good driver, stock ITR can do 0-60 in 6.0-6.2 seconds...and we all know how good FWD cars are at launching.

LOL, you must have just bolted on the kit and called it a day!

I've gotten 6.1ish several times with a G-tech Pro, completely stock. But using a little gizmo that probably may not be calibrated well on a road that might not be completely flat and might have a tail wind (hard to do two-way passes on a divided highway!) is hardly scientific. Then again, doing a scientific 0-60 test is pretty tough for your average owner, which is probably why these responses are all of the wise-*** variety. You'll get more reliable numbers looking at threads about quarter mile times from drag strips.
One night I did a 7.24 in a heavy downpour with a no-wheelspin start...

Guys guys, let me show you some real way of calculating
If you have a timeslip, then you can find out about your 0-60mph times.

Have fun!
I am in the 4.2 sec range myself on Pzeros.

Using that site my 95 GSR registers in doing 0-60 in 5.28 seconds with Dunlop SP8000 street tires, and thats with stock GSR gearing!

Re: How fast does your R go 0-60? (Bob#455)
using that formula I can do a 0-60 in 3.16sec
Thats with using my 11sec quarter mile times with slicks and 60fts of 1.7
The 1/8th mile is 7.6 @93mph.
On street tires I have no traction in 1-4th gear so.... lets talk 60-100mph! lol
If I use my 12.5sec run with it misfiring I get 3.71 0-60!!! Thats funny.

Re: How fast does your R go 0-60? (Pinhead)
Yeah, I just thought maybe you had another one or something... A 14.4 1/4 mile and 5.4 sec. 0-60 just doesn't add up. I think the G-Tech is way more accurate than that calculator is... When my R was completely stock (removed the intake resonator box), I used a G-Tech and got 0-60 of 6.09 sec. and 1/4 mile of 14.50 @ 99.xx (the G-Tech measures your exact speed, not an average so the trap speed can't be compared to those at the drag strip).
