Re: How do I find out what year my ITR is?
Ok found out some new info from a friend in japan who belongs to some of the honda forums over there. DC2-1301104 VIN can be broken down as follows, its a 130 series of the type r. then the japanese imperial year Heisei 11 and the 04 was the month so april. That is what i was told so I think that my car is a 99 that was made in april.

if you actually read what i put, this is coming from a friend over in japan. Im going by what HE said not what I have actually for sure found out. One theory I am finding a lot of is that they started the jdm itr with the 100 series in 96 110 in 97, 120 in 98, 130 in 99 etc.....

http://www.geocities.jp/honda_orthia..._club/faq.html :
The 130 series was started around Jun. 1999. Which means the last 4 numbers could be anything like your car's number in that series. I.e. the 1,104th car of the Jun '99 production line or something.

Re: How do I find out what year my ITR is?
From what I've seen on USDM Vehicles I've worked on, they actually STAMP the year and month in which the panels were manufactuered or placed onto the vehicle. anyone ever seen a framrail with a 96 and an arrow between the 9 and 6 poiting to a number 1 through 12? Not sure if it's when the panel was manufactuered or if it was when it was actually assembled onto the vehicle, but this might be a start. If a panel has a 98 or 99 on it u can rule out 97 or 96 spec.
