Default Hey Texans...

How many of you are going to the John Eagle Event in Sept?

John Eagle Honda Import Day at Texas World Speedway

David and I have registered, you should too. It'd be nice to see a bunch of R's get together for this...Swift?.....

Has anybody been to this before? A friend with an S2K told me abou it but I couldn't find anything info about it until now. I'd like to go (if there is still space available...) and meet up with some other R owners while there.

I went to the last one (Feb. if I remember correctly) to watch some friends of mine do it. Man, I wish I had signed up for that one, it looked like so much fun. There were some crazy cars there (NSX's, S2k club, ITR's, Porsches, Ferraris, etc., etc.) Each time it's your turn to drive you have an instructor ride with you to help you through the course. I got to ride as a passenger in one instructor's Audi S4 wagon stuffed w/4 people and man that guy can drive, what a rush. I'm definitely going to try and make it to this event. Everyone there said it was well worth the money spent for the two days they were on the track.

I'll be there...together with my friend Porsche 968. It's 200 bucks for both days. It would be a good time for a Texas ITR meet!

You guys need to act fast though...i think there is already a waiting list.

Even if it is a little late to get registered for the track event, it may be a good time and place to have a Texas R meet. It is a good central location and we can watch those that do get into the event...

Count me in.

I got my packet last week. I went to the one last july as an observer, and completely missed the Feb. event. I am definitely anxious for this one.

It would be cool to have a Type R meet at the track. It seems proper given the purpose of the car. So I would encourage even those who aren't planning on buying track/instruction time to come out. I think there is a BBQ event at the conclusion on Sat Nite.

BTW last July, I was the only black R out there. I saw about 5 PY on the track. There were way more S2000s out there.

BFWill, will your car be dryed out by then?

batmobile - who is balancing his checkbook to see if 200 will bounce..

I just got my packet in the mail today. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it. For those of you who don't know.....there is a group of us Texas Type R owners that meet up every once in a while. For information about the group you should contact Marcos aka Fuminsho via e-mail. The club has a page at Yahoo!clubs. Check it out,

Jon
