Help suspension problems
Ok on my r i put a rear strut bar and then about 2 weeks ago i put on front and rear lower tie bars. the car felt like it handled good when it was dry out but yesterday in the rain everytime i would go around a turn the front felt like it wanted to or was sliding out. what did i do wrong? is it to tight or too loose what the hell is going on with my car?

come again?? it was sliding out how? Are you sure, you won't driving too fast for the condition in the rain (thinking that the bars will make the car stick better than before)?

My car was all over the place yesterday. My suspension is bone stock and the previous owner of my car put on generic goodyear non performance tires. R's aren't happiest in the rain that's all..
alright alright i thought i had done something wrong to the suspension, its just that before i put this on in the past when it rained i really didnt notice it that much. thats why i had thought i did something wrong.
The frame of the car acts as a spring and when you add reinforcements you are taking it ouf of the equation (a good thing). Since your effective spring rate (roll stiffness) has increased, you car is less compliant to sudden inputs. Like most people are saying here; you are probably driving too fast for the turn you are trying to do. But one important thing to try out is transfering the weight to the front with some braking or lifting of the throttle. Also make your steering input smooth and inversely proportional to your braking. Don't do either of them abruptly though as things will tend to rotate on you.
When in doubt, re-torque everything. And/or, get the car aligned again. Nothing is worse than a car that tracks side ways... unless you're into dOrifTo.

If you put the rear upper strut bar on... then you tightened up the rear, if only slightly. Tightening up the rear = oversteer = not good in the rain.
Tire pressures and driving has a lot to do with how you drive in the rain.

hey thanks for the advice, i dont know ill check everything to make sure it tight and i got a question. i have koni 5 way adjustable shocks on my, came on it when i bought it, how do you adjust them. i know where to its just that when i turn the thing on top of the shock it just keeps going aroung and around agin i dont know where to stop.
If they are Koni Yellows...you have to count the turns...did your car come w/the adjustment ****?
this is what you are reffering to right?
only yours are most likely only adjustable upfront...ie in the engine bay?

that's what most people sell for the ITR. The problem is, they are too short so unless you run threaded sleeves the *** end is too low.

i know on my buddy's car he had skunk coilovers, and we made spacers that were about an inch or so tall and used them to make the spring sit at the proper hight.
