My friend just installed a 5 zigen fireball exhaust system into his 01 gsr. The engine light came on and the spedometer is not working at all. Just now the abs turned on and now his car wont start. Does anyone know whats going on here? Also we noticed, while we were driving, that when we used the blinker the radio would blink with the signal light. Also on the freeway, in 5th gear, the acceleration shuts down even though his foot is on the pedal. Someone help out please. We are in some desperate need!!! thanks in advance

Sounds like you damaged several things during the install.

 

jeez...................i dont think install a muffler can do all this, did u put it on backwards or something?

 

did you pull off any engine ground wires during the install?..having no engine grounds can cause strange electrical problems.

 

Everything was just a bolt on. Nothing was removed except bolts and gaskets..but they were put back on. The top heat shield is still on and it rattles like crazy too. We just tried starting the car and it started back up again and the signal light is not blinking with the radio, but I dont know if thats gonna last.

Check the 02 sensor...did you mess with the one in the CAT?

 

what do you mean?........nothing happened when i put my aem cold air......why my catback?

 

because your aem CAI doesnt have an O2 sensor. check the plugs on your cat

so what exactly did you mess around with while you were down there?

i know.......when i put a greddy cat on my si........nothing happened

 

you think my o2 got loose when i used the air gun

 

check the wires for the 02.

 

check if it is loose......unpluged......burned out.....
