Default check engine light?

hey guys im getting a check engine light on my wife's 98 lude and this is the explanation:
Primary Heated Oxygen Circuit
Slow response:
Primary HO2S sensor
Exhaust System

I bought this car from a kid that has a hideous huge ricer muffler on it which is coming off next week, but i wouldnt think that would cause a check engine light because he said it was just the muffler he had put on. So which sensor could this be? The one in the cat right? Help is appreciated.

reset your ecu, its probably just humidity or bad batch of gas. Pull the radio fuse from under the hood circuit box. If the same light persists then take it to you dealer for an opinion. And no its not the muffler 100% for sure.
Hope that helps.
