Header install mess up, HELP!(
I didnt think it was possible to **** up on a header install, but urs truly has. I removed the two clutch slave cylinder bolts and pushed the cylinder out of the way so i could get the header to come up from the bottome and fit. All went well, bolted everything back up and she was lookin pretty. Then i went to start it and BAM, clutch peddle to the floor. I knew it was the clutch slave cylinder leaking, and sure enough, fluid is dripping quickly. So what do you guys think it is? Did i pop a gasket or something from the slave? Ideas?

Yup....no need to touch any of that. Just angle the passenger side of the header up and drivers side down and slip it out. It is a tight fit, but there is no need to remove anything but exhaust components to install a header on this car.

Well if was takin it out, or putting it in that would be good advice. But the header and everything is bolted up. Im good to go there. Im sitting here looking at the slave cylinder, with the actual "piston" thing no longer in the cylinder.

Yeah i know, im gonna fill it up and bleed the system when i figure out what i need to do with these two pieces of the slave cylinder..
Its not the master cylinder, my clutch was working fine. Then i disconnected the slave cylinder it from the block and it fell apart. Hence my problem.
anyone? Can i just pop the piston back in the slave cylinder and refill with fluid and go? I gotta get this bastard workin ASAP.

Make sure it is clean and slide it back in (try twisting it a little bit).
Install it and bleed the line. It will have a bunch of air at first and you may need to bleed it again tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me. Except it was my ex-gf who pulled on the slave cylinder too hard and broke it while I was installing the header. We did the same thing on my friends car and I pulled the sc (but i was really careful) and his didnt break. I just went and bought a new sc. it was about $70 and I bled the clutch myself which took 3-4 hours!!!
