Default Is This A Good Deal For A 98?

Well, its a 98 R with 45k miles. It has a 100k warranty and seller is asking 20k for it. I will not be paying 20k for it, but am thinking about offering something along the lines of 16,500-17k for it. Fair?

I *doubt* any seller who's asking $20k for a car would go down to $16-17k.

It's overpriced a little IMO. If you can get it for as low as you think...go for it. I say even if you get in the range of $18k or so it might be a good deal if the car is in good shape.

I know what you mean YD, its very unlikely that he/she will go down. But lets give the seller a reality check here, 20k for a 98 with 45k miles is quite a bit overpriced. I really did not want to get something with that much mileage being that all the R's i've seen are around 30k. The fact is that a 2000 could be had for roughly 21-22k (with some negotiating), so compared to that, this car is rather overpriced.

Black Dragon here is selling his flawless '00 FBP ITR with only 9400 miles on it for $22,500. You should check into it. Never raced. AEM CAI, Thermal axle-back exhaust, OEM foglights. IM me if you want his e-mail.

It is overpriced. I bought my 98 with 9800 miles on it in 1999 for $20K.

The asking price for my car when i went to see it was 22k. (98itr w/ 14k miles). I bought it about 9 months ago and was able to take the price down to 18k.
