I am about to purchase a USDM ITR tranny with a 5.0 Cusco final drive. Will the acceleration be noticeably quicker than with the stock 4.40 FD? Also, how high will my revs be when cruising at 75-80 MPH (about 120 km/hr)?

My stock USDM ITR tranny will be up forsale at a reasonable price once this new tranny goes in.

Wow. 5.0FD. Acceleration will be much quicker and you'll be shifting at lower mph's than you are used to.

RPM in 5th gear at 70mph: 4256
This is assuming you have 195/55/15's.

yeah, its a hell of a difference over stock FD. I think someone on the board posted a pic of the gauge cluster showing the ATS final drive at like 80mph, and the revs were at like 5K(maybe more, I dont remember) in 5th gear.

I think cursing RPM would be very similar to the ATS 4.929 FD. May be 20-30RPM higher than the ATS one.

yeah its really not much different at all from the ATS it just sounds higher. How much of a diference could 0.071 really make?

What would 0 to 60 mph and 1/4mile times be for an otherwise stock Type R with this final drive?
Has any one autocrossed with 4.7+ final drive and noticed a big impact on autocrossing?
