Are these things any good? Do they compare to vafc at all? ANybody using one. Just curious, i'd rather not spend 350.00 on a vtec controller if possible. thanx

The Fields is a good unit but it's not as user friendly or tunable as the VAFC. It's worth the money for simple tuning.

its easier to use than the afc.
personally i would never put a VAFC into any of my cars.

 

everyone knows this is the main reason to purchase one...I mounted mine on the roof so everyone on the strip could see me flossin the bling....anyone know where I could get the casing chromed? Also need info on a colormatched wire loom to hide the cord

Yeah it's very easy to use, I guess what I was trying to say was the VAFC is bigger and easier to read (i.e. more user friendly).

 

I'm using one in my EK with B16A2, Skunk2 cams, ECU, ect. It's a quick fix tuning option for A/F and VTEC engagement. Works OK, but I plan on upgrading to a Hondata in the future.
