Default Engine problem

The problem occurs when I go off the throttle when "in VTEC". Lets say I'm at 8000rpm on full throttle and I lift the accelerator half way up, the engine really start to jerk. If I'm driving continuosly (partial throttle) in VTEC the engine also start to jerk. Everything seems ok when I'm at full throttle or no throttle in VTEC.

The yellow checklamp on my dash (below the oil lamp) also comes on just about once a week. All I have to do is turn the engine off, wait for a minute and start it up again and it seems to be ok. Does this checklamp indicate eletrical errors?

My engine mods are:
Ractive ignition wires
Ractive air intake system

I suspect it might be the Ractive ignition wires, but the car have worked fine with them for about two months. Any ideas?

Seems Weird, But Try re-installing The oem Ignition Parts and see if problem Presist!

BTW....I have noticed at High RPM's My car to be jerky when Releasing the Gas!

ok removed the ractive ignition wires and put the stock back on. Didn't get better

Took the car to a friend og mine who is a honda mecanic and tried to read the errorcodes from the computer. We couldn't quite figure it out the codes But we think the it indicated error with MAP sensor. Does that sound right??

Finally figured out how to read the ECU error codes. The code said "MAP sensor high voltage". Measured the voltage from ECU to the MAP sensor and it was fine. Changed the MAP sensor and voila' , the car ran smooth as silk. The MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor thought it was receving more voltage than it did, so it gave the engine too much fuel and too little air.

Luckily for me I got a used MAP sensor from a 1998 CR-V 2.0i. It turned out that a new one cost 700$ (in Norway). I just paid 60$ for the used one with 125000km on it. Couldn't be happier

If you type the word "Reactive" and it is not immediately followed by "sucks" or are talking about Chemicals. I will fly to Norway and kick your ***.

You are an ITR owner with that comes the responsibility to research anything you buy for at least a month before purchases, Or just do What Mike M and SGT tell you to.
