What I expected, can't wait till the new header so it wont CHOKE AND DIE up top like it's doing...
Oh yeah, isn't that the nicest tq. curve you've ever seen![](https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsmilep.gif)
Mods:
STOCK MOTOR
STOCK ECU
STOCK Fuel Pressure
$5 autozone Filter on stock arm
STOCK TSX Header
2.5" Exhaust w/ Cat and chambered muffler![](https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif)
CEL: No REAR O2 Sensor hooked up, I don't think this will rob power, but some people tell me otherwise

Impressive, especially considering that its still a stock motor...
Good luck on the build-up and be sure to post more numbers when you get your exhuast done.

not bad on stock everything.. Now its time to bring on the MODS... The rear 02 sensor is for a OBDII vehicle to make sure the cat and emissions system is working correctly.. Shouldn't see lots of power loss unless the car is running and/or lean..

TrueRace Engineering 4-1 Long tube header...aka my own design...to shamelessly plug it'll be using a REAL merge collector, the prototype wont have steps but the final deisgn should. IM me if you want details
RTW - It's a JDM CTR motor which is exactly the same as a DC5R motor![](https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif)
Wanted - Yeah I knew what the purpose was and I don't think it robs power but K20eg says it "takes away a good amount of horsepower", but I think the dyno proves it doesn't b/c it makes the power it should 184 whp = ~218ish Crank
Mods comming this week-ish:
TrueRace 4-1 Header - then dyno
TrueRace Velocity intake
Hondata K-pro
New exhuast - Then dyno
I didn't want to mod it until I had a baseline to work with...

considering the tq doesnt drop off till 7.5k rpm thats pretty good.
im sure a header and other stuff will bump up the whole curve though, and keep the tq flat till 8k or higher

The numbers are nice, but tell everyone how it feels driving!!! The K20 in R spec is absolutely fabulous. It pulls hard everywhere in the powerband. With just the bolt-ons on my R, it transformed the car even more. JoeTypeS, just wait it gets so much better, without even opening up the engine.

Oh I know, and I can't wait...I'm really excited about our header design, I think everyone will like it (and esp like the quality)

Very very nice... It would be really interesting to see the effect of the Hondata K pro alone on that setup... Maybe 200 WHP? And that is still with a restrictive header....

yeah I know I'm very torn, hondata it and tune then do a before after w/ header or put the header on the stock ECU to see the difference...I think choice 2 will lead to less drama, but who knows...

Sounds like everything is going good.
You should post pics of the header when it is done

You gotta come to a WNY-SCCA event so I can run D-Mod w/ someone else
