Default Dyno of stock 01 ITR w/ 10k miles

Dyno'd my car at the FL dyno day and this is what I got. First run was bone stock nothing. The time from the factory was set at 10 deg. (This is what all new ITR's were at). We then set the timing to 18 deg.

Nice! Are you sure the timing was 10 deg. That's very low.

Yea, every stock 00 & 01 ITR that John did last weekend was set to 10 deg. It's supposed to be set to 16 from the factor, but none were.

How much (mm) did you turn the distributor then from 10 to 18 deg?

It's different on every car. You need to set it with a timing light.

The first mod I did to my 01 R ws to turn the timing foreword from 16 to 18 degrees BTDC.

It was perfect at 16 from the factory, btw . . .

I was the second ITR dyno'd that day, bone stock 6000mi on the clock and my timing was also set to 10 degrees. My first run was 160.4 hp peak, we advanced the timing to ~18 degrees and I got 163.7 peak. Either yours is strong, or mine hasn't been broken in yet, or I just warmed up the grease on the dyno drum for yah...

edit: Added dyno run pic.. I got nice gains everywhere, screw peak.

Results look about right.

The header will give you 5-7 for sure.
