Re: Does Type-R have a LSD? (Champ R)
i have a friend that used to work for Acura as a mechanic. he has a 99 gs-r that he installed an ITR LSD in right after he bought it new. at the track this past summer i noticed he was spinning only one wheel, and that the other would sometimes catch and spin a little bit, but it was 90% the other wheel only. i spoke with him and some other people that were there about it and we think he must have previously burnt the LSD out (if that's possible). He drags at the track *A LOT* and has bfg dot slicks that he does some pretty crazy *** burnouts on.
so it's possible your friend has a broken LSD in his Arrr...

like he said, yes there's an LSD.
but the axles aren't equal length.

yes ...the shafts are equal length
there ar two shafts that pivot , that are both the same length .....and a intermediate shaft ...get under your DC2 and look at it one day ....you'll see what i mean

You guys must not read the thread posts at all lol. I live in the same apartment complex as this guy and he thinks my R is a fake, and is doing one wheel burnouts in our lot... which im not. Obviously this guy has no idea what he is talking about because i never beat on my car like that, nor act like a stunna to melt my winter tires all over the pavement. Thank you.
