Default Differences between Integra Fuel Pumps

I'm posting this for a friend......

He currently has a 97 JDM ITR motor in his 97 LS. He has checked his spark plugs and according to his findings, the motor seems to be running lean. Is that right??? Isn't true that all Honda's run rich???

Another question we had was, is there any differences between the fuel pumps within the 3 models of the Integras (LS, GSR, Type R)??

Thanks

you'd need to confirm that with someone dealing with acura parts. if its the same, then he may have wrong fuel pressure.

interesting that it's running noticeably lean.. what ECU is he using? also what FPR and injectors?

To answer your question, in the US the ITR and GSR share the same fuel pump.. The LS's is different. And would pump less I would expect..

I also checked the FPR's, just in case, and all three models have different ones..

Thanks for the reply......I believe everything is Stock JDM ITR (ECU, Injectors, FPR)......The only thing that is different is the fuel pump....I guess we need to do some more research....I'm gonna try the dealership....

Thanks again

ITR fuel pump isn't horribly expensive.. would be worth adding if it's a concern..

FYI, the JDM ITR ECU WILL run leaner than a USDM ECU.. FPR could be bad as well.. How bad were the plugs? Looking just a bit lean? That's probably the ECU on USDM gas.. If it looked very lean then I would change FPR and fuel pump.. Were the plugs all about the same looking?

get a walbro...100ish dollars.

LS should have a different pump. Honda's run around 12-13ish air fuel ratio.
