Ok...I just had a vision.

I hope we all go to heaven. Because if you do...I am going to be calling all the Toda lovers on the cloud phone and say...

"Ok friend, brother! YOu build your Toda motor, I build my motor, we meet up at heavens drag event called: Cloud racer 1.

And we see who wins.

Wouldn't that be great?

Jeff

I have many friends that have had wonderful experiance's with JUN 3's. From the beginning I have been very vocal about the fact this forum is the Toda Leg Humper forum. I own JUN 3's and If I can get the Damn viewer to work you will see that there is also no VTEC dip on the JUN cams wih there respective ECU.

I dont like Toda because they dont even offer a ECU with there cams.

What do the Jun 3s cost?

One thing I do love is the fact that the Cs cost more than the Bs and the Bs cost more than the As, but I'd bet a cat that the Cs are the cheapest to make since there is less time to machine them.

around 900$ for JUN type-1's, 2's or 3's. BTW 2's make a damn good turbo cam.

JUN 3's

I'm with Jeff about meeting up at cloud 1. Except I'm going to change that a little bit. If JUN were to build a motor with their parts, and Toda were to do the same, i would bet almost anything the the JUN motor would be stronger.

And actually one thing that was kind of weird was that when I called toda a while back they suggested that I should use some JUN parts. Wasn't a bad thing, but it just kind of caught me off guard.

Does JUN have any B18C's like this? Not to add to this JUN vs TODA things but TODA's been building B16/18C race motors since 1993.

Just thought I'd throw this in for "eye candy" TODA GT500 NSX motor 500hp normally aspirated

So for someone on a budget, who doesn't have any mods (basically) which cams would be the best choice? Toda A's? Jun 2's? Which one? I'm looking for most improvement, least money. Thanks.

It will be interesting to see how the Skunk cams fare up to the JUN 2's. I'm sure JUN will win..Can't wait.

Where is all this fat midrange torque everyone talks about with spec b's? I don't want explanations show me graphs.

To all the Jun/skunk babies, show me a graph where I can NOT point out the x-over point and I'll stop saying B's have more mid. Nice and flat, not on and off power.

Tell me the x-over point on this plot and I'll stop eating JITB forever!

Why would you want to do something like that? BTW, I know where the x-over is

I am pretty sure you were at the ITR expo, if not ITR 1236 was doing pretty damn good with his JUN setup. These rumors of the JUN 3's not having any power on the bottom lobe is ridiculous, ITR 1236's car is very meaty in the midrange, JUN has just figured out how to make there cams IDLE correctly.

Just because JUN hasnt, it doesnt mean they are incapable, remember JUN tunes all of the japanese supercars, not to mention the fact that there 1100hp Supra recently went over 240MPH on the salt flats, oh and there Hyper lemon Civic one a Racing championship in Japan, not to forget there 8 second stock chassis Silvia.

Vader does have a good point, most of my JOY is just listening to the lumpy fattys idle. God I love my CEL.

Dave's got a good point also. Is that "bottom end" stroked????

I dont know why you insist on fussing about idle quality.
These are RACE CAMS and should be treated as such.
