Default CTR pulley

I was looking for a pulley so a guy e-mailed me saying, the CTR pulley is the best b/c it has a harmonic Balancer. And it is an OEM honda Part. Not after market. The only downside is it won`t line up with power steering... Is The ctr pulley worth it? What gains would i see?

to be correct, ctr n1 pulley have no harmonic Balancer like the stock pulley. however, according to some sites, its only for reducing HNV from the motor.

The CTR pulley only accepts an alternator belt, nothing else.

i have one but it is a type-r endurance pulley not the ctr n1. it is the almost the same but it is lighter than the ctr n1. yes it is from honda(jdm). really no advantages over the us model except it makes your engine rev much faster. only alt. belt groove available. looks similar to the p/s pump pulley but bigger. horsepower about the same. torque little decreased but the faster rev makes up for it.

There is only one CTR N1 crank pulley.

I think someone doesn't understand what type of race a N1 race is.

How can you lose power from that pully, I thought it gives power by removing all the other belts.

It's not so much a gain of power as it is a reduction of lost power.

Also ignore comments by "bearingburner", they make no sense.

well it dont create power at all. all it does is create more faster rev. and decreasing engine load. my n1 pulley dont come from no ctr. i ordered that thing from honda. hong kong. mine has six holes in the pulley. seven including crankshaft. only thing i noticed is charging system is lowered. creating a lesser load on the engine.

I have the UR race pulley for 11k now (revs really fast). I would go with the N1 pulley to be on the safe side.
