Default corbeau seats install - using stock rails and sliders..... (how to) :o *DIE 56K DIE!*

Well I picked these up from Patrick (todacivic) a while back and they came with dodge neon sliders.

That simply wouldn't do, so I checked around and posted a few WTB threads to get some rails for the dc2... nothing panned out, and new the rail/ slider combo = $100+ for each seat. Too rich for my blood! I mean these aren't BRIDE seats.....

So what do I do?

I talk to Charles @ http://www.mainstreamperformance.com and with his help am able to get these in the car.

Here's the pics.....

Stock 99 si seat modded to fit the dc2 (using dc2 sliders)... I was using this for a while and it sucked. So apart it comes:

These are the parts removed and needed:

You can see the parts that were grinded off/ flat:

Grinding.....

Here you can see what's ground off:

Welding 2 pieces of 3/16" x 1.5" x 18" to the sliders:

Mig? Oh yeah!!!

Yeah, it gets a little hot (don't touch):

Paint them so they don't rust:

Drill holes and test fit:

Mount:

Testing the sliders... yeah they work!

Got them in the beat-R:

Voila!

Once again, thanks to Charles & Eric @ http://www.mainstreamperformance.com They have an awesome dynojet + wideband and can fabricate pretty much anything.....!

Thanks again to Pat (todacivic)! I'm glad my *** is slightly skinnier than yours and the seats fit me better!

Driving impressions: Way better than si seats, but I'd still like to get BRIDE!

About 1" lower than stock (perfect height), and you definitely feel more connected with the car in every way - more vibration, and better feel for the handling of the vehicle.
