Default Comptech 4-1-2 header

I read the great dyno test on the bunch of header and saw that this header gave about 11hp at max but it has good mid range as well. Can anyone comment on this? I want a header that has power throughout the band. How much does this header goes for? Thanks!

As far as power gains the dyno test speaks for itself but keep in mind a testpipe and 2.5" exhaust was used. I think you can get it new for $350-$500 depending on MIG/TIG.

Sometimes you can pick up a used one for 1/2 those prices and then add a ceramic coating to make it look as good as new.

I want to get the thermal axel back cause I hear it is pretty good and I am still deciding on a high flow cat..any suggests on thoese peices? I hace an AEM intake already...do you think with the comptech header, the thermal exhaust, and a hi flow cat, I could get like 15 whp out of it? Thanks!

brownman, how many more header/exhaust threads are you gonna start? Try to keep it all in one place since it's related.

I'm stock other than the header so I'm not sure on the other stuff. I'd guess you're looking at a solid 10hp with I/H/E cause the test pipe should out flow any cat.

If you're going to replace the cat you're probably better off getting a JDM header of some kind. The comptech is good if you want stock ground clearance, keep stock cat and/or don't plan on going beyond I/H/E.

Not being a dick, but it's 4-2-1 header we're talking about here or did Comptech come out with 4-1-2 header? I'm dead serious and not poking fun.

If it's 4-2-1 header, than it gets from me... that's what I would've gone had I known it performed so well.
